Websites like Rotatingroom allow you to lease out your room to medical students who need a place to stay for short stints.

Look for a side job that matches your skills.

For example, if you’re an experienced cook looking for supplemental income by taking on some cooking gigs.

Then it would be worth considering becoming one of those people who offers their services through online platforms like TaskRabbit.

Create a budget and stick to it

You need extra cash, but you don’t want to take on a second job or get another credit card.

People who supplement their income are more likely to be happy and successful than those who don’t.

But if you’re stuck in a dead-end job with no opportunities for advancement, it can feel impossible to find an alternative source of income that doesn’t involve taking on debt or working long hours.

The first step is creating a budget so your expenses match up with your income – which means cutting out the things that are draining all of your money away from you like impulse buys and overpriced cable bills.

After you’ve created this budget, then look at what’s left over after paying for essentials like rent and food (if possible).

Then think about ways to increase this amount by either earning more money or spending less money so there is room for other sources of revenue.

Some sources are freelancing gigs etc.. Check out fiverr.com for ideas on freelancing.

Additional income can be earned through your employer with avenues like overtime, bonuses, back pay, and commission.
